A little about the Krewe
The Pirates of Lost Treasure, Inc. was established in 1992 at The Reef in Perdido Key, Florida. A small group of swashbucklers from the Key noticed the southeast flourishing with Mardi Gras krewes. Wanting to be part of the celebration, they hung a sign on the Reef's door inviting all who were adventurous and lighthearted to apply for Piratehood. The result was a club of hearty, generous pirates that
not only wanted to parade and party, but to help their neighbors at the same time. The krewe organized and became known as the Pirates of Lost Treasure, Inc. whose treasured benefit is known as Secret Santa.
The Pirates have helped many panhandle residents who were down on their luck and still find time to put the wind back into there sails and have a good time. their award winning parade float that was built with their own hands makes them proud rolling down the street during Mardi Gras parades.
